The hood is quite large, and is made of the same material as the body of the robe.This, combined with the over large body of the robe (i could have downsized two sizes and im 5'5' and 165 lbs!). I ordered an extra large, i usually wear a 14. The color is a nice deep wine. Ive only washed it once, No lint problem. I would buy it again.
