I have used almost every mousse available. Typically Suave. Suave conditioning mousse for curls is too greasy for my hair even though its very coarse. I normally use Suave max hold 7 or 8. I tried this mousse this morning %26 I absolutely LOVE it. My hair had more body %26 curls were perfect. I live in a very humid area with the average running 80% or higher in the mornings. I used the same amount that I normally use of the Suave but it was too much. It made my hair sticky when wet but I was able to de-crunch while blow drying %26 it looked great. I will use 1/2 the amount next time for sure. Highly recommend giving this a try!!

The only hair product I need

I've tried a bunch of different routines and products for my wavy hair, but ultimately, I ended up just sticking with this mousse. It's literally the only product I use to make my hair wavy, soft, and shiny. I saw that some reviews complain about it making their hair crunchy– once your hair is dry, you're supposed to "scrunch out the crunch". Meaning, use your hands to squeeze your hair in an upward motion to get rid of the crunchy texture and leave your hair with a soft, wavy texture. NYM should probably include this step in the directions on the packaging; I only know this from watching YouTube videos. People have also mentioned the smell, which isn't my favorite either, but it doesn't make your hair smell weird. My partner actually compliments how my hair smells after using it. My only complaint is that the mousse comes out super fast; you have to dispense it for the shortest amount of time possible to not get too much. But I love the product so I'm still giving it 5 stars!

Not Your Mothers has become my favorite hair product. It smells nice and light. Has a good hold. Doesn't leave hair sticky or hard unless you use way too much. My daughter and I have curly hair, this product works well for us. I wish the bottle came in a larger size.
