Bought the system only for the humidifier. When you have well water and use a softner you need to get rid of the salt. I'm using a portable humidifier, the whole house humidifier didn't work for me. Nick has assisted me on a small problem. Found out the well system goes below 45psi. So the system does not perform correctly. Nick has assisted me in solving this problem. Going to install a new manifold with a pump to solve this issue. Thanks Nick. One more item, Ispring recommends the filter housings be on solid surface. I've mounted the bracket for the filter housings solid but I have put pieces of 2x4s under the housings. This allows you to remove one piece of wood at a time to change the filter. That way you you don't fight changing the filters.
