It came assembled which I like..it is very sturdy. A rubber piece comes with it to keep it from sliding but I brace it against the coffee table to keep it in place. A strap comes with it that you could wrap it around chair legs to keep it in place. It pedals smoothly.

The items works quite well, but it is made in China and the directions did not tell us what the strap or pad enclosed was for or how to correctly adjust the timer. Better instructions would be very helpful. I have had good luck shopping online with Walmart, why can't Sam's Club also offer free shipping to their members? We pay for a membership and receive a lower priority of service.
