At first the gloves looks thin. But when I used them, they are great with high heat. I took a dish out of the oven and held it with the gloves for about 3 to 4 minutes and the gloves did withstand the heat and I didn't feel anything. I would definitely purchase another pair for my family member.

I purchased these thinking they are going to be like my regular oven mittens; they are nothing like regular oven mittens. I don't feel any heat on my hands or forearms when I get things out of the oven, grill or smoker. These are fantastic mittens and the place mats are very rubbery and durable with heat distribution throughout the mats making sure no heat will ruin your countertops.
