Reames Homestyle Egg Noodles, 24 Ounce Bag (Frozen)

These are the only noodles I've bought for the past 40 years. They look and taste like homemade. When guests comment on how good they are and ask if I made them, I say, “with my own little hands!” 😊. This is what you do to make them soak up more flavor in whatever broth you're using: dry them out on a newspaper on the counter overnight. Yep. The drier they get, the more broth they will soak up while cooking, hence more flavor in the noodle. One thing you have to watch with these (and all frozen noodles) is not to cook them too long, because they'll get mushy. Watch your timing and check on them periodically to avoid that. REALLY, I THINK THE BAG ALMOST TRIPLES IN SIZE AFTER BEING COOKED, WHICH DOES TAKE A WHILE....BUT I USE THE BOILED WATER AS A BASE FOR CHICKEN STEW, FLAVORFUL AND A LITTLE THICK, AND ADDING CHICKEN BULLION, SOME SPICES, AND A BROILED WALMART CHICKEN(cold whole cause it's cheaper, and just as good when shredded). THROW IN YOUR FAVORITE VEGGIES AND SIMMER TO MARRY THE FLAVORS AND YOU HAVE MEALS FOR 2-3 DAYS. I HAVE BEEN KNOWN TO STUFF MY FACE WITH THE NOODLES, SALTED, AND A LOT OF BUTTER. THESE NOODLES ARE THE BEST, LIKE MY MOM USED TO MAKE BY HAND. YOU WILL LOVE JUST THESE VERSATILE BIG THICK NOODLES.
