George Men's Branford Dress Oxfords (Wide Width Available)

I don't dress up in a suit often, but it has been happening more and more lately. A 15 year old pair of black Wingtip Shoes have just been replaced by these Black Cap Toe Oxford Dress Shoes. They are made of a soft Faux Leather, my daughter tells me that they are Vegan Leather, since they mimic genuine leather so closely. They have a soft padded interior which surprised me since they are as comfortable as shoes that I have owned and worn for a while. Here in Florida we are frequently subject to unexpected rain showers. These Oxfords have a textured rubber base and outsole which will not wick water into the shoes. A problem with my old leather shoes. In addition, the textured sole is fairly slip resistant when walking on wet pavement. While wearing them, I managed to scuff one of them and am happy to report that the smudge just wiped right off with a dampened cloth.

These shoes are great to wear for casual occasions, but could also pass in a semi-formal occasion in a pinch. They are comfortable to wear, although they did feel a little bit on the large size, so keep that in mind if your feet tend to be an in-between size. Overall, these are a great "starter" set of shoes for people who are used to wearing sneakers 24-7 but don't need full on dress shoes.
