I purchased this with no expectations, actually, and only because CaraVe is such a trusted brand. What a nice surprise I got. It's been so awfully dry this winter - lowest humidity on record at one point - my scalp has been itchy. I have fine hair; any shampoo that's listed as hydrating usually makes it oily. I was skeptical. I love everything about this shampoo. It lathers well, cleans well, smells nice without being perfume-y. I never use conditioner, and my wet hair combed easily. My scalp stopped itching with the first use, yet my hair didn't get oily faster. Hair is soft and shiny, styles well. I don't know how they pulled this off, hydrating the scalp without making the hair oily, but they did. This is a great product.

Wow! This shampoo saved my hair. My hair is gray, medium length, wavy, post menopausal hair thining. Then i try Cerave, and it lathers up and leaves my hair shiny and bouncy! So thank you CeraVe and Walmart. Added bonus, my hair is about the same shade as this rich shampoo. Thank you for no fragrance, thank you for saving my hair.

As typical for Cerave, this shampoo is incredible. I wash my hair two times as most shampoo products recommend. I leave in the second application for a few minutes. My hair is so soft, I don't bother with the Cerave conditioner that I also purchased. It's an amazing product.
