Thanks for doing 98% of the work GV Refried Beans!

Love the convenience of opening a can of soon to be enjoyed refried beans (fat free) dip for my tortilla chips. I kick it up a notch for my personal taste. Add the contents of the can to a small silcone pot and add about 1/2 cup of sour cream and however much of your favorite Sriracha Hot Sauce to tickle your taste buds - stir and in about 5 minutes you have the great base for a tostada or - a dip for those chips. I add shredded cheese to my portion. Woo Woo. The photo is what was left over after my small dish of dip portion. Now I can enjoy tostados or tacos with refried 'creamy' beans.

Fat Free Great Value Refried Beans

I prefer the Great Value, refried beans compared to Rosarita, Bush's, or Old El Paso. First we can't eat Bush's or Old El Paso, we are a vegetarian family and both have lard in there beans. So do Great Value ‘Traditional' so be careful if feeding a vegetarian. Usually anything labeled “fat free” or “vegetarian are safe. So number one, you can't beat the price, and number two, they are highly seasoned. If you like more of a plain bean base for nachos, burritos, or a side dish you aren't going to be a fan. The cumin, onion and garlic really comes through on the Great Value refried beans.
