Fresh Yellow Onions, 3 lb Bag

I like buying yellow onions by the bag because I use them in almost everything—soups, sauces, rice dishes, roasted vegetables, beans, and any meal that begins with the words “sauté until fragrant.” The three-pound size gives me enough to cook with regularly without requiring an onion-storage annex. Yellow onions are versatile because they have plenty of flavor when raw but become sweeter and milder as they cook. They work just as well for a quick weeknight meal as they do for something that simmers for hours. A practical produce staple that saves me from realizing halfway through dinner that I used the last onion yesterday. Every kitchen needs a reliable supporting actor, and the onion accepts that role without demanding top billing.

These yellow onions are fresh, firm, and have a great flavor. I use them in pretty much everything soups, sauces, meat, roasted vegetables, you name it. They cook up nicely and add just the right amount of flavor without overpowering the dish.
