Great Value Buttermilk Pancakes, 16.5 oz, 12 Count (Frozen)

I use a plastic fork and place some Lemon Curd (Tippy Tree-the best!) between each of 4 frozen pancakes. Then I microwave on High —for 2 minutes. Yummy. Quick meal and no clean up—just throw the plastic fork and paper plate away. Sometimes I also put some Daisy cottage cheese on the side of the pancakes. —good source of protein. I usually buy the bags of 24 but my freezer was too full so I ordered the boxed 12 count version this time. I was surprised to find that although they both weigh the same, the boxed ones are 1/4 inch larger in diameter. This makes a difference on the plate and in how toppings fit. Being just slightly thinner does not seem to be a problem and a stack of them do not look as undersized. For the longest time I only had pancakes with butter and syrup but now I'm skipping the butter and using GV whipped cream dispensed over fresh berries. These are ALSO a good substitute for angel food cake or strawberry shortcake cups which are over priced for what they are. Just cut up the pancakes with scissors and serve the berries over that with whipped cream or ice cream.
