I liked the brand name and the price at Walmart for that brand name. The corn kernels are always fresh and like almost crispy. They cook up nice to be served alone or in casseroles, salsa, etc. It is definitely a good pantry staple. Also the texture isn't changed if you hate it by microwave. You won't be disappointed with this kind of corn at all.

I love this Del Monte corn. It tastes like it just came off the stalk. Very fresh and delicious. This is the best canned corn on the market in my opinion. One can serves 2-3 people. It can be served with almost any type of meal that you are planning.

I was seriously impressed the first time I tried this corn. It was summer and I had fresh corn on the cob the day previous. However, I had a recipe that required corn and no longer had any fresh so I decided I would try out this canned corn. Wow! I sampled some cold from the can and was bowled over. Sweet, crisp, fresh not salted to death. I now keep this is stock always for a fresh taste of summer.
