I had an old electric pencil opener for many years and it finally gave up the ghost. It literally died on me. This sharpener uses a USB port to do the electric thing so that is different. It sharpens pencils great and the size is great for me. Recommend it for lighter use at home or a very small office.

I love this sharpener! i was having trouble with leads breaking and not getting a very sharp tip. i bought this pencil sharpener because ny other pencil sharpener broke. Now i am so glad it broke because i love this sharpener. My pencil leads are no longer breaking and i can get a very sharp tip without too mu h pencil being lost. i would definitely reccommend to anyone looking for a sharpener for just regular %232 pencils or for colored pencils. It is amazing....also nice that i can either plug in or put batteries in. This sharpener gets two thumbs up 👍.

Great Sharpener, just don't understand the charger plug. it may be for recharg batteries, but I Have not understood that part of the sharpener and no information in package. however, it sharpens pencils very nicely with two batteries, purchased separately! I would buy it again.
