Just as described Product recommendations is a 6 inch mattress but I got an 8inch which I feel fits better. It avoided a gap between the top of the mattress and the bottom of the rail. We were worried about the toddlers arm slipping through. Happy with purchase

Good for the price point, surviving 2 toddlers

This bed was easy to put together even with one person and a handsy toddler. Has held up well for veing climbed on constantly! My only complaints would be that the wood is a bit yellow tinted compared to photos and the joints have to be tightened back up quite often. Other than that, the bed is well worth the money.
