To connect your Xbox One controller via Bluetooth, first make sure you have a model that supports Bluetooth (typically models released after 2016). Then:

1. Turn on the controller by pressing the Xbox button.
2. Press and hold the Pair button on top until the Xbox button flashes.
3. On your device (like a PC or mobile), open Bluetooth settings and select 'Add Bluetooth or other device.'
4. Choose 'Xbox Wireless Controller' from the list.

Once paired, you can use the controller wirelessly. Keep in mind, Bluetooth features may vary by device and game.

To put your Xbox One Bluetooth controller in pairing mode, follow these steps:

1. Turn on the controller by pressing the Xbox button.
2. Press and hold the small Pair button on the top edge until the Xbox button starts flashing rapidly.

This flashing light means the controller is discoverable and ready to connect to a Bluetooth-enabled device. If it doesn’t pair right away, try repeating the steps or checking your device’s Bluetooth settings.

While some Xbox One controllers include Bluetooth, the Bluetooth feature is mainly for connecting to devices like PCs, tablets, or phones—not directly to the Xbox One console. The Xbox One itself uses a proprietary wireless protocol for controllers. For wireless play on Xbox One, simply sync the controller using the console’s Pair button. Bluetooth is handy if you want to use your controller on other devices.

If your Xbox controller isn’t appearing in your device’s Bluetooth list, consider these tips:

• Make sure your controller supports Bluetooth (look for a solid plastic area around the Xbox button).
• Double-check that the controller is in pairing mode (Xbox button flashing).
• Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device and it's discoverable.
• Try restarting both the controller and your device.

Compatibility and software updates can also affect pairing, so updating device drivers may help.

Xbox Bluetooth controllers are versatile and work with a range of devices, including:

• Windows PCs and laptops
• Android phones and tablets
• Some iOS devices (with supported games and apps)
• Smart TVs and streaming devices with Bluetooth support

Compatibility can vary, so it’s a good idea to check your device’s Bluetooth settings and software version for the best experience.
