Wall scrolls are decorative pieces designed to hang on your walls and add personality to your space. They can feature artwork, inspirational quotes, floral designs, or intricate patterns, making them a popular choice for bedrooms, living rooms, entryways, and even offices. Wall scrolls are often lightweight and easy to hang, so you can quickly refresh your decor or switch up your style for different seasons or occasions. Whether you prefer metal, wood, or fabric, wall scrolls offer a simple way to showcase your taste and make your home feel more inviting.

The 2/3 rule is a handy guideline for hanging wall art, including scrolls. It suggests that your wall decor should be about two-thirds the width of the furniture below it, like a sofa or bed. For example:

• If your couch is 90 inches wide, aim for wall art around 60 inches wide.
• This helps create a balanced look and keeps your space from feeling cluttered or empty.

While the 2/3 rule is a helpful starting point, you can always adjust based on your room’s layout and personal style.

Making your own wall scroll can be a fun DIY project. Here’s a simple approach:

1. Choose your artwork or fabric—this could be a printed poster, canvas, or even a favorite piece of fabric.
2. Attach wooden dowels to the top and bottom edges for structure. You can use glue, staples, or sew them in place.
3. Add a string or ribbon to the top dowel for hanging.
4. Hang your scroll on a hook or nail and enjoy your personalized decor!

Be sure to use lightweight materials so your wall scroll is easy to hang and move.

Wall scroll trends often reflect current home decor styles. Right now, some popular options include:

• Farmhouse and rustic metal scrolls with distressed finishes
• Minimalist designs featuring simple lines or botanical motifs
• Asian-inspired scrolls with calligraphy or landscape art
• Inspirational quotes in modern fonts

Mixing materials like wood and metal is also on trend, giving your space a layered, textured look. Feel free to combine different styles to match your personality and home vibe.

To hang a wall scroll securely, follow these steps:

1. Choose a spot away from direct sunlight or moisture to help preserve your scroll.
2. Use a hook, nail, or adhesive hanger rated for the weight of your scroll.
3. If your scroll has a string or loop, hang it directly on the hook. For heavier pieces, consider wall anchors for extra support.
4. Double-check that the scroll is level and stable before letting go.

Always check the product’s hanging instructions for specific recommendations, and avoid placing heavy wall decor above beds or seating areas for added safety.
