Choosing the right size fishing net depends on the type of fish you're targeting and where you'll be fishing.

• For smaller fish or bait, a net with a smaller radius and finer mesh works well.
• Larger nets are better for bigger fish or when casting in open water.
• Consider portability—foldable or telescopic nets are great for kayak or boat fishing.

Check the product details for mesh size and radius to match your needs. If you're unsure, look for nets labeled as versatile or suitable for both freshwater and saltwater use.

Keeping your fishing net clean helps it last longer and prevents odors.

1. Rinse the net with fresh water after each use, especially if you’ve been in saltwater.
2. Use mild soap and a soft brush to remove any debris or fish slime.
3. Let the net air dry completely before storing to avoid mold.

Some nets are made with materials that dry quickly or resist tangling, making maintenance easier. Always check the care instructions provided with your net for specific tips.

Many fishing nets on this page are designed for both freshwater and saltwater environments.

• Look for nets made with corrosion-resistant materials like aluminum alloy handles and nylon mesh.
• Features like foldable designs and built-in lanyards add convenience for different fishing locations.

While most nets are versatile, always rinse your net after saltwater use to help prevent wear. Review product descriptions to confirm compatibility with your preferred fishing spots.

Storing a foldable fishing net is simple and helps keep it in good shape.

1. Collapse the net according to the instructions, making sure the mesh isn’t tangled.
2. Use any built-in lanyards or belt clips to secure it.
3. Keep the net in a dry, cool place—some nets come with storage buckets or bags for added protection.

Proper storage prevents damage and makes your net easy to grab for your next fishing trip.

Some fishing nets offer replacement parts like handles or mesh, but availability can vary.

• Check the product listing for information about accessories or replacement options.
• If you need a specific part, you can reach out to Walmart’s customer service for help.

Keeping your net in good condition is easier when you know where to find parts, so it’s a good idea to review the details before purchasing.
