Temple tips are the soft coverings or sleeves that go over the ends of your eyeglasses' arms (also called temples). They're designed to make your glasses more comfortable to wear and help keep them from slipping off your ears. Temple tips are usually made from materials like silicone or rubber, which add grip and cushion. If your glasses feel uncomfortable or tend to slide down, swapping or adding temple tips can make a noticeable difference in fit and comfort.

Choosing the right temple tips depends on your glasses' style and your comfort needs. Here are a few things to consider:

• Material: Silicone is popular for its flexibility and grip, while rubber offers durability.
• Size and Shape: Make sure the tips fit your glasses' arms and match your ear shape.
• Non-slip Features: Look for anti-slip patterns if your glasses tend to move around.
• Color: Pick a color that matches or complements your frames for a seamless look.

It's a good idea to check the measurements of your glasses' arms before purchasing temple tips for the best fit.

To put new temple tips on your glasses, follow these steps:

1. Remove the old tips by gently sliding or peeling them off the arms.
2. If the new tips are tight, you can soften them by soaking in warm (not hot) water for a few minutes.
3. Carefully slide the new tips onto the arms, making sure they're fully in place.
4. Let them cool and dry before wearing your glasses again.

Take your time to avoid damaging your frames, and if you're unsure, consider asking a local optical shop for help.

Glasses can slip for a few reasons, and temple tips can help. Common causes include:

• Loose fit: The arms may be too wide for your head.
• Smooth temple ends: Without grippy tips, glasses can slide easily.
• Oily skin or sweat: This can reduce friction and cause slipping.

Adding anti-slip temple tips can improve grip and comfort. If slipping continues, you might also check the nose pads or visit an optical professional for an adjustment.
