Choosing the right size sun shade depends on the area you want to cover.

• Measure the length and width of your patio, garden, or backyard space.
• Consider leaving a gap of 1.5 to 2 feet between the shade's edge and mounting points for tensioning.
• Check product descriptions for exact dimensions and installation tips.

If you're unsure, it's helpful to sketch your space and compare it to available sizes. This can make installation easier and ensure you get the coverage you need.

Most sun shades are designed for outdoor use, but whether you can leave them up year-round depends on local weather conditions and the product's material.

• Permeable shades handle rain well but may not withstand heavy snow or strong winds.
• Waterproof options offer extra protection but still benefit from seasonal removal.
• Regularly check for wear and tear, especially after storms.

Taking down your sun shade during extreme weather can help extend its lifespan.

Cleaning your sun shade sail is simple and helps keep it looking fresh.

1. Remove the shade and lay it flat.
2. Use a soft brush or broom to sweep off loose dirt.
3. Mix mild soap with water and gently scrub the fabric.
4. Rinse thoroughly with a garden hose.
5. Let it air dry completely before reinstalling.

Avoid harsh chemicals or machine washing, as these can damage the material. Regular cleaning can help maintain UV protection and appearance.
