Solar step lights use built-in solar panels to collect sunlight during the day, converting it into energy stored in rechargeable batteries. At night, the lights automatically turn on, using the stored energy to illuminate steps, walkways, or decks. No wiring is needed, making installation simple and safe. The brightness and duration of the light can depend on the amount of sunlight received and the battery capacity. These lights are designed for outdoor use and often feature weather-resistant materials to handle rain and snow.

Yes, most step lights are designed for easy DIY installation.

• Solar-powered models usually require just placing or mounting them where you want extra light.
• Look for areas that get plenty of sunlight during the day for best performance.
• Some lights come with stakes for ground placement, while others have screws or adhesive for mounting on steps or fences.

Many step lights are built to be waterproof or water-resistant, making them suitable for outdoor use.

• Check the product description for terms like "IP65 waterproof" or "weather-resistant."
• These features help protect the lights from rain, snow, and moisture.
• Proper installation can also help prevent water damage.

To keep your step lights shining bright, it's a good idea to clean them regularly.

1. Gently wipe the solar panel and light cover with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt and debris.
2. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can scratch the surface.
3. Make sure the lights are turned off or removed from their mount before cleaning.

• Check if the solar panel is clean and getting enough sunlight.
• Make sure the batteries are properly installed and not depleted.
• Inspect for any water damage or loose connections.
• Refer to the product manual for specific guidance.
