Choosing the right stapler depends on how you'll use it. If you're mostly stapling a few sheets at a time, a compact desktop stapler is a great fit. For larger projects or thick stacks, consider a heavy-duty or electric stapler that can handle higher capacities. Think about features like reduced effort, staple-free options, or built-in removers for added convenience. Check the sheet capacity listed in the product details to match your typical workload. Walmart offers a variety of staplers for home, office, and classroom use, so you can find one that suits your tasks.

Manual staplers require you to press down by hand, making them ideal for everyday tasks and portability. Electric staplers use a motor to drive the staple, which can save time and effort when you’re working with large volumes or thick stacks of paper.

• Manual: Simple, lightweight, and easy to use anywhere.
• Electric: Faster, consistent, and great for busy offices.

Staplers are designed to work with specific staple sizes, so it’s important to check the product description or packaging for compatibility. Most desktop staplers use standard 24/6 or 26/6 staples, while heavy-duty models may require larger staples. Using the wrong size can cause jams or poor binding. Always match staples to your stapler’s recommended type for best results. Walmart carries a wide selection of staples, making it easy to find the right fit for your stapler.

If your stapler jams, start by opening the top or front section (as directed by the model). Carefully remove any stuck staples using a staple remover or tweezers.

• Clear out any debris or bent staples.
• Check that you’re using the correct staple size.
• Reload with fresh staples and test with a single sheet.
