Choosing the right size for solid black wallpaper depends on your project area. Start by measuring the height and width of your wall or surface. Multiply these numbers to get the total square footage. Most wallpaper rolls list their coverage area, so compare your measurements to the product details. If you're covering cabinets, shelves, or furniture, measure each section separately. It's a good idea to buy a little extra to account for pattern matching or mistakes. If you're unsure, check the product description or reach out to Walmart's customer service for guidance.

Many peel and stick black wallpapers are designed to handle humid environments, making them a popular choice for bathrooms. Look for products labeled as waterproof or moisture-resistant. Before applying, make sure your bathroom walls are clean, dry, and smooth for the best results. Avoid placing wallpaper directly in areas with heavy water exposure, like inside a shower. Regular ventilation can help maintain the wallpaper's appearance. Always review the product details to confirm it's suitable for bathroom use.

Solid black wallpaper, especially peel and stick types, generally adheres best to smooth, clean, and dry surfaces. Common surfaces include painted drywall, finished wood, glass, metal, and laminate. Avoid applying wallpaper to textured walls, brick, or surfaces with dust or grease, as adhesion may be less effective. If you're updating furniture or cabinets, make sure the area is wiped down and free of residue. Always check the product instructions for any specific surface recommendations.

To remove peel and stick black wallpaper, start at a corner and slowly peel it back at a 45-degree angle. Pull gently and steadily to avoid tearing. Most removable wallpapers are designed to come off cleanly without leaving sticky residue or damaging painted walls. If any adhesive remains, use a damp cloth or mild soap and water to clean the area. For best results, follow the removal instructions included with your wallpaper product.

For a smooth, bubble-free finish with solid black wallpaper, prepare your surface by cleaning and drying it thoroughly. Use a level to mark straight lines as a guide. As you apply the wallpaper, peel back a small section of the backing at a time and smooth it onto the wall with a squeegee or soft cloth, working from the center outward. If you spot air bubbles, gently lift the wallpaper and reapply, or use a pin to release trapped air. Take your time for the best results.
