The RWF0700A water filter is designed to fit select refrigerator models that use the DA29-00020B filter style. These often include certain Samsung® refrigerators, such as RF28HMEDBSR, RF263BEAESR, RS25J500DSR, and RF263TEAESG, among others. It's important to check your fridge’s user manual or look for the filter code inside your refrigerator to confirm compatibility. If you’re shopping on Walmart.com, you can usually find a compatibility list on the product page to help you match your fridge model with the right filter.

There are a few signs that might indicate your refrigerator water filter is clogged:

• Decreased water flow: If water dispenses more slowly, it could be time to check the filter.
• Change in taste or odor: Water or ice may start to taste or smell different.
• Filter indicator light: Many fridges have a light that signals when it’s time to replace the filter.

If you notice any of these, consider replacing the filter to help maintain water quality and appliance performance.

Generic refrigerator water filters can be a practical option if they’re certified to meet industry standards for filtration and fit. Look for filters that mention compatibility with your fridge model and check for certifications like NSF/ANSI. Always follow your refrigerator manufacturer’s guidelines and installation instructions. Using a compatible, certified filter can help maintain water quality without risking appliance performance.

Most refrigerator water filters should be replaced about every six months, but this can vary depending on your water usage and the manufacturer's recommendations. Some fridges have indicator lights to remind you when it’s time for a new filter. Regular replacement helps maintain water flow and taste, and supports your appliance’s performance. Always refer to your fridge’s manual for specific guidance.

To install a new refrigerator water filter:

1. Locate the filter compartment, usually inside the fridge or at the base.
2. Turn or push the old filter to remove it (check your manual for the exact method).
3. Insert the new filter and lock it into place.
4. Run water through the dispenser for several minutes to flush out any air or loose carbon particles.

Always follow the instructions that come with your filter and consult your refrigerator’s manual for best results.
