The numbers on a rowing machine screen usually show key workout stats to help you track your progress. Common metrics include:

• Time: How long you've been rowing.
• Distance: The total distance rowed, often in meters or miles.
• Stroke Rate: How many strokes you take per minute (SPM).
• Calories: An estimate of calories burned during your session.
• Split Time: How long it takes to row 500 meters, which helps gauge your pace.

Each screen may look a little different, so it's a good idea to check your machine's manual for details on what each number means.

Reading your rowing machine's display is pretty straightforward once you know what to look for. Most screens show:

• Elapsed Time: The total time spent rowing.
• Distance: How far you've rowed in your session.
• Stroke Count: The number of strokes you've completed.
• Calories: An estimate of calories burned.

Some displays also show heart rate or allow you to connect to fitness apps via Bluetooth. If you're unsure, refer to your machine's user guide for a breakdown of each metric.

An erg screen, often found on rowing machines, displays real-time workout data to help you monitor your performance. Typical information includes:

• Current Pace: Your speed, usually shown as time per 500 meters.
• Stroke Rate: Strokes per minute (SPM).
• Distance: How far you've rowed.
• Time: Duration of your workout.

Some screens also track heart rate or connect to fitness apps for more detailed analysis. This data can help you adjust your effort and stay motivated throughout your session.
