Refill Torch(402)

Most refillable torches use butane fuel, which is available in convenient canisters. Some outdoor torches may require specialized fuels, like citronella or propane, depending on their design. Always check your torch’s instructions to confirm the right type of fuel. Using the correct refill helps maintain performance and safety, especially for tasks like grilling, camping, or outdoor lighting. If you’re unsure, look for information on the packaging or ask a store associate for guidance before purchasing a refill.

You can refill your torch lighter at home using a compatible butane fuel canister, which is widely available at Walmart in the patio and garden section. There’s no need to visit a special facility—just follow the instructions provided with your lighter. Make sure you’re in a well-ventilated area and away from open flames when refilling. If you need help finding the right fuel, Walmart associates can assist you in-store or online.

1. First, ensure the lighter is cool and turned off.
2. Hold the lighter upside down and locate the refill valve.
3. Insert the nozzle of the butane canister into the valve and press gently.
4. Wait a few seconds for the fuel to transfer.
5. Let the lighter rest for a few minutes before using.

Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions for your specific model. Refilling in a well-ventilated area and away from heat sources can help keep the process safe.

To fill up a gaslighter, use a butane refill canister. Hold the lighter upside down, align the nozzle with the refill port, and press down firmly. You’ll usually hear a hissing sound as the gas transfers. Stop when fuel starts to overflow or after a few seconds. Let the lighter sit for a few minutes before igniting. Always check your lighter’s manual for any specific steps, and avoid overfilling to prevent leaks.
