Choosing the right PS4 controller micro USB cable depends on your gaming setup and needs. Here are a few things to consider:

• Length: Longer cables (like 10 or 20 feet) give you more freedom to play from a distance.
• Durability: Look for cables with reinforced connectors or braided exteriors if you want something that lasts.
• Compatibility: Make sure the cable is labeled as compatible with PS4 controllers to avoid connection issues.
• Charging and Data: Some cables support both charging and data transfer, which can be helpful for updates or wired play.

Walmart offers a range of options, so you can find one that fits your preferences.

Most standard micro USB cables will physically fit your PS4 controller, but not all are created equal. For the best experience:

• Check for Compatibility: Some cables are designed specifically for gaming and support both charging and data transfer.
• Quality Matters: Higher-quality cables can provide more stable connections and last longer.
• Length and Flexibility: Choose a cable length that matches your gaming setup to avoid strain on the connectors.

Using a cable designed for PS4 controllers can help reduce connection issues and improve your gameplay experience.

To check if your PS4 controller is charging:

• Connect the controller to your console or a compatible USB power source using a micro USB cable.
• Look for the light bar on the controller—it should slowly pulse in an orange color while charging.
• Once fully charged, the light bar will turn off or change to a steady color, depending on your settings.

If you don't see any lights, try a different cable or USB port to rule out connection issues.

If your PS4 controller isn’t connecting, try these steps:

1. Check the Cable: Make sure your micro USB cable is working and securely plugged in.
2. Reset the Controller: Use a small tool to press the reset button on the back of the controller for a few seconds.
3. Reconnect: Plug the controller into the console and press the PS button.
4. Try Another Port: If possible, use a different USB port or cable to rule out hardware issues.

These steps can help troubleshoot common connection problems.

To help your PS4 controller micro USB cable last longer:

• Avoid Sharp Bends: Don’t twist or sharply bend the cable, especially near the connectors.
• Unplug Carefully: Hold the connector, not the cable itself, when unplugging.
• Store Properly: Coil the cable loosely when not in use and keep it away from pets or sharp objects.
• Clean Connectors: Occasionally wipe the connectors with a dry cloth to remove dust or debris.

Taking these steps can help maintain your cable’s performance over time.
