Pool nets are designed to help keep your swimming pool clean and safe by catching leaves, debris, and even insects before they sink to the bottom. There are two main types:

• Leaf skimmer nets: Used for daily cleaning, these attach to poles and let you scoop out floating debris.
• Leaf net covers: Placed over the pool, these catch leaves and larger debris during off-seasons or when the pool isn't in use.

Using a pool net regularly can make pool maintenance easier and help keep your water clear.

If you need a quick DIY pool net, you can try using household items. Here’s a simple approach:

1. Find a sturdy stick or pole for the handle.
2. Attach a fine mesh fabric or an old window screen to one end, securing it with zip ties or strong tape.
3. Shape the mesh into a pocket to catch debris.

This homemade net can help with light skimming, but for regular or heavy-duty cleaning, a store-bought pool net is typically more durable and effective.

If you're looking for a budget-friendly way to cover your pool, leaf net covers are often one of the most affordable options. They’re lightweight, easy to install, and can help keep leaves and debris out of the water. Here are a few tips:

• Choose a net that matches your pool’s shape and size.
• Secure the net with included ties or clips to prevent it from blowing away.

While leaf nets are cost-effective, they’re best for keeping out larger debris rather than providing full safety or winter protection.

Pool net prices can vary based on size, material, and type. Here’s what to keep in mind:

• Skimmer nets for daily cleaning are generally more affordable and come in a range of sizes.
• Leaf net covers for seasonal use may cost more, especially for larger or reinforced options.

Shopping at Walmart gives you access to a wide selection, so you can compare features and find something that fits your budget and pool size.

Choosing the right size pool net depends on your pool’s shape and dimensions. Here’s how you can decide:

• Measure your pool’s length and width (or diameter for round pools).
• Look for nets or covers labeled for your specific pool size and shape—round, oval, or rectangular.
• For skimmer nets, consider the reach you’ll need; telescoping handles can help with larger pools.

Selecting the right size ensures better coverage and makes cleaning or covering your pool much easier.
