You'll also see names like solar lamp posts, string light poles, and column lights depending on their design and function. These lights are designed to be mounted on poles or posts, making them ideal for illuminating driveways, gardens, patios, and pathways. The specific term can vary based on the style and intended use, so browsing the category can help you find the right fit for your outdoor space.

A pole light is an outdoor lighting fixture that's mounted on a vertical pole or post.

• It's used to brighten up areas like gardens, driveways, patios, and walkways.
• These lights come in various styles, including solar-powered, hardwired, and decorative options.
• Some pole lights feature dusk-to-dawn sensors, multiple heads, or replaceable bulbs for added convenience.

The price of pole lights can vary widely based on factors like size, material, power source, and features.

• Solar models and basic string light poles tend to be more budget-friendly.
• Hardwired lamp posts with multiple heads or decorative finishes may cost more.
• Special features like dusk-to-dawn sensors or weather-resistant materials can also affect pricing.

There are several types of pole lights available for outdoor use:

1. Solar lamp posts – Powered by sunlight, easy to install, and energy-efficient.
2. Hardwired post lights – Require electrical wiring, often brighter and more permanent.
3. String light poles – Designed to hold string lights for patios or events.
4. Decorative column lights – Add style and ambiance to gardens or pathways.
5. Multi-head lamp posts – Provide wider coverage and unique looks.

Installing pole lights depends on the type you choose.

• Solar pole lights are usually simple—just secure the base and let them charge in direct sunlight.
• Hardwired post lights may require digging, mounting the pole, and connecting to your home's electrical system. It's a good idea to follow the manufacturer's instructions and consult a professional if needed.
• String light poles often come with ground stakes or bases for easy placement.
