Picking the right size comes down to your pet’s portions and snout shape.

• Match capacity to meals: Compare your pet’s usual serving to the listed capacity. A bowl that holds about 1.5–2x a single meal can help reduce spills.
• Consider shape: Cats and flat‑faced pets often prefer wide, shallow dishes; longer‑snouted pets may do fine with deeper bowls.
• Check dimensions: Look at diameter and height on the product page, and make sure it fits your feeding mat or stand.
• Water bowls: Choose larger capacities so there’s always extra available.

You can order online for pickup or delivery, and review dimensions before checkout.

Microwave safety varies by item, so it’s best to confirm for each product.

• Check the listing: Look for “microwave safe” in the product description or specifications.
• Look for symbols: Many pieces have icons on the bottom; wavy lines often indicate microwave use.
• Mind the material: Some silicone and wheat‑straw plastic items on our site are labeled microwave safe, but follow any time/heat guidance provided.
• Use short intervals: Heat in brief bursts and avoid super‑oily foods that can get very hot.
• Stop if warping: If you notice softening or odor, let it cool and reassess.

When in doubt, follow the care instructions on the product page.

Care instructions can differ, but these tips can help keep bowls looking good.

• Dishwasher use: If marked dishwasher safe, place on the top rack to limit heat exposure.
• Handwash gently: Use warm water, mild dish soap, and a soft sponge. Avoid abrasive pads that can scratch.
• Deodorize stains: A brief soak with baking soda and water, then rinse well, can help with lingering odors.
• Avoid harsh chemicals: Strong cleaners may damage finishes; check the product’s care notes first.
• Dry thoroughly: Air‑dry to prevent water spots; replace items with deep scratches or cracks.

A few simple tweaks can help cut down on skids and spills.

• Choose grippy bases: Bowls with rubber rings or silicone suction bases can add traction on smooth floors.
• Add a feeding mat: A non‑slip mat under the bowl helps keep everything anchored and makes cleanup easier.
• Go wider or heavier: Wider footprints and slightly heavier designs are harder to push.
• Keep surfaces clean: Wipe the floor and the bowl’s base; dust and water can reduce grip.
• Consider stands: Elevated or tilted stands can reduce movement while making access more comfortable for some pets.

Check product details for non‑slip features before you buy.

Shallow plates can be a good fit in a few situations.

• For cats sensitive to edges: A wide, shallow dish may help keep whiskers from touching the sides.
• Flat‑faced pets: Low sides can make it easier to reach food without bumping the bowl.
• Wet food meals: Spreading food on a plate can make licking and cleanup simpler.
• Small portions: For kittens or small pets, look for low rims (around 1–1.5 in.) with a broad diameter.
• Tilted options: Some plates and stands angle food forward to reduce mess.

Review each item’s dimensions to find a shape that suits your feeding setup.
