The texture of peppermint stripes candies depends on how they're made and the ingredients used. Soft peppermint candies often have a melt-away texture because they include ingredients like corn syrup and are cooked at lower temperatures. Hard peppermint candies are cooked longer and at higher temperatures, which gives them a firm, crunchy texture. Both types share the classic red and white stripes and peppermint flavor, but their mouthfeel is quite different. Always check the product description or packaging to see if you're getting soft puffs or traditional hard candy.

Peppermint stripes candies are a popular choice for holiday parties thanks to their festive red and white look and classic peppermint flavor. They're individually wrapped, making them easy to share and use as table decorations, stocking stuffers, or party favors. You can also add them to candy buffets or use them as toppings for holiday desserts. Their versatility and seasonal appeal make them a favorite for gatherings and celebrations during the holidays.

You can get creative with peppermint stripes candies in baking! Try crushing them and sprinkling over cookies, brownies, or cupcakes for a minty crunch. They also work well stirred into hot chocolate or used as a decorative topping for cakes and holiday treats. Just be sure to unwrap the candies before using, and consider the texture—soft mints will blend in, while hard ones add a crunchy element. Always check your recipe for the best way to incorporate them.

Peppermint stripes candies can melt in hot drinks like coffee, tea, or hot chocolate, adding a sweet and minty flavor. Soft peppermint candies tend to dissolve more quickly, while hard candies take a bit longer. If you enjoy a subtle mint taste, try stirring one into your drink and let it melt gradually. Just remember to stir well and keep an eye on the candy as it dissolves for the best experience.

To keep peppermint stripes candies fresh, store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Make sure they're in an airtight container or keep them sealed in their original packaging. This helps prevent them from getting sticky or losing their flavor. If you buy in bulk, dividing them into smaller containers can make it easier to keep them fresh for longer, especially during the holiday season or for party planning.
