Painting paper mache Easter eggs is a fun and creative process! Here’s how you can get started:

• Prep your workspace: Lay down newspaper or a plastic tablecloth to protect surfaces.
• Choose your paint: Acrylic paints work well and dry quickly. Water-based paints are also a good option for kids.
• Apply a base coat: Start with a light base color and let it dry before adding details.
• Decorate: Use brushes, sponges, or even markers for designs. Stickers and glitter can add extra flair.
• Dry completely: Allow the eggs to dry fully before handling or displaying them.

Always supervise young children during crafting and follow any included instructions for best results.

Yes, many paper mache Easter eggs are designed to be fillable! Here’s what to keep in mind:

• Check if the eggs open: Some eggs come in two halves or have a removable top, making them easy to fill.
• Choose lightweight treats: Small candies, stickers, or tiny toys fit well inside.
• Secure closure: If the egg doesn’t snap shut, a small piece of tape or ribbon can help keep it closed.
• Display or hide: Filled eggs are great for baskets, party favors, or egg hunts.

Always check product details to confirm if the eggs are fillable and supervise children during use.

Paper mache Easter eggs are typically reusable, especially when handled with care. Here’s how to extend their life:

• Store in a dry place: Keep eggs away from moisture to prevent warping.
• Handle gently: Paper mache can be sturdy but may dent if squeezed too hard.
• Clean lightly: Dust with a soft cloth—avoid soaking in water.
• Refresh decorations: You can repaint or redecorate them each year for a new look.

With proper care, these eggs can be enjoyed for multiple Easter celebrations.

Paper mache Easter eggs open up lots of creative possibilities for kids! Here are some fun ideas:

• Painted eggs: Let kids paint patterns, animals, or spring scenes.
• Glitter eggs: Add glue and sprinkle glitter for sparkle.
• Animal characters: Use felt, pipe cleaners, and googly eyes to turn eggs into bunnies or chicks.
• Egg ornaments: Attach ribbon loops for hanging on Easter trees or around the house.
• Mini baskets: Fill eggs with confetti or small surprises for friends.

Supervise young crafters and use age-appropriate materials for safe, enjoyable crafting.

Storing paper mache Easter eggs properly helps keep them in good shape for next year. Here’s what you can do:

• Let them dry: Make sure all paint and glue are completely dry before storing.
• Use a sturdy box: Place eggs in a cardboard or plastic container with a lid.
• Separate layers: Use tissue paper or bubble wrap between eggs to prevent scratches or dents.
• Keep in a cool, dry place: Avoid damp areas like basements to prevent moisture damage.

Following these steps can help your decorated eggs last for many Easters to come.
