Choosing the right size padded bedside commode is all about comfort and safety.

• Check the weight capacity to make sure it fits your needs—many models support between 350 to 500 lbs.
• Look at seat width and depth for comfortable sitting, especially if you prefer extra space.
• Adjustable height legs help you set the chair to a level that's easy to get on and off.
• If you need help with transfers, consider a model with drop arms or wider seats.

Always review the product details and, if unsure, consult with a healthcare professional for personalized advice.

Comfort in a padded bedside commode often comes from several thoughtful features:

• Padded seats and backrests help reduce pressure and make sitting for longer periods easier.
• Armrests provide extra support when sitting or standing up.
• Adjustable height lets you set the chair to your preferred level.
• Some models offer extra-wide seats for added space.

Look for these features in the product description to find a chair that matches your comfort needs.

Keeping your commode chair clean is important for hygiene and comfort.

1. Remove the bucket and empty it after each use.
2. Wash the bucket with mild soap and warm water, then rinse and dry thoroughly.
3. Wipe down the padded seat, backrest, and frame with a gentle disinfectant or cleaning wipe.
4. Let all parts air dry before reassembling.

Always follow the care instructions provided with your product, and avoid harsh chemicals that could damage the padding.

Many padded bedside commodes are designed to double as raised toilet seats.

• Remove the bucket and position the chair over your toilet, making sure it fits securely.
• Adjust the height so the seat lines up comfortably with your toilet bowl.
• Check that the legs are stable and the chair doesn't wobble.

This setup can make using the bathroom easier for those with limited mobility. Always review your product's instructions to confirm compatibility with your toilet.

Replacement parts like buckets, splash guards, and armrests are often available for padded bedside commodes.

• Check the product page or contact Walmart's customer service for help finding compatible parts.
• It's a good idea to have a spare bucket or splash guard on hand for convenience.

Make sure to match the replacement part to your specific model for the best fit and function.
