Setting up a wireless mouse is pretty straightforward. Most models come with a USB receiver—just plug it into your laptop's USB port. The mouse should automatically pair and start working. If your mouse supports Bluetooth, turn it on and activate Bluetooth on your laptop, then follow the pairing instructions. Tip: Make sure your device's batteries are fresh for a smooth setup. If you run into trouble, check your laptop's settings to confirm the mouse is recognized.

Silent click mice are designed to reduce the noise made when you press the buttons. This can be handy if you’re working in a quiet space or sharing a room. Regular click mice produce a more noticeable sound with each press.

• Silent: Less distracting, ideal for shared environments.
• Regular: Standard feedback, suitable for most users.

Many wireless mice offer programmable side buttons. To customize them, install the software provided by the manufacturer. Once installed, you can assign different functions—like shortcuts or specific actions—to each button.

• Open the software and select your mouse model.
• Follow the prompts to set up your preferred actions.

Keeping your mouse clean helps it work smoothly. First, turn it off and remove the batteries if possible. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. For tougher spots, slightly dampen the cloth (never use excessive moisture).

• Clean around the buttons and scroll wheel gently.
• A cotton swab can help reach tight areas.

Most wireless mice are compatible with Chromebooks. If your mouse uses a USB receiver, plug it into your Chromebook’s USB port and it should work right away. Bluetooth mice can also be paired through your Chromebook’s Bluetooth settings. Note: Compatibility may vary, so it’s a good idea to check the product details or your Chromebook’s support page if you’re unsure.
