Ultrasonic pest repellers plug into a standard wall outlet and emit high-frequency sound waves that are designed to be unpleasant for common household pests like mice, rats, and insects. These sounds are typically inaudible to humans and pets, but they can help discourage pests from nesting or traveling in treated areas. Keep in mind that effectiveness can vary based on room size, layout, and the type of pests present. For best results, use the device in open spaces without obstructions like furniture or curtains blocking the sound waves.

For optimal coverage, plug your mouse repeller into an outlet in the area where you've noticed the most pest activity, such as kitchens, garages, or storage rooms.

• Choose a location with a clear line of sight, as ultrasonic waves can't pass through walls or large furniture.
• Avoid placing the device behind curtains or inside cabinets.
• If you have a larger space or multiple rooms, consider using more than one unit for broader coverage.

Most ultrasonic pest repellers are designed to be safe for common household pets like dogs and cats, as the frequencies used are typically outside their hearing range. However, small pets such as hamsters, gerbils, or other rodents may be affected by the sound waves. It's a good idea to check the product packaging or instructions for any specific pet warnings and consult your veterinarian if you have concerns about your pets' comfort.

Results can vary depending on the severity of the pest problem and the environment. Some users may notice a decrease in pest activity within a few days, while others might need to wait several weeks.

• Keep the device plugged in continuously for best results.
• Combine ultrasonic repellers with good sanitation practices, like sealing food and closing entry points, to help improve effectiveness.

Ultrasonic pest repellers are generally low-maintenance.

• Wipe the exterior with a dry or slightly damp cloth to remove dust and keep the vents clear.
• Avoid using harsh chemicals or submerging the device in water.
• Check periodically to ensure the device is plugged in securely and the indicator light (if present) is on.
