Great question—start with your room and lifestyle, then work backward.

• Measure the space: Map the length and width of your room and leave comfortable walkways (about the width of a doorway) around the sofa.
• Check access points: Compare doorways, stairs, and hall widths to the shipping box dimensions on the product page.
• Pick seat depth: Deep-seat “cloud couch” styles feel lounge‑y; standard depths save floor space.
• Match capacity to use: Listings range from compact 2–3 seats to expansive U‑shapes with 6+ seats.
• Mock the footprint: Use painter’s tape to outline the sectional or individual modules.
• Review module dimensions: Each piece’s measurements help you fine‑tune a layout that fits.

These steps can help you visualize fit and flow, but every room differs.

Both layouts work well; it depends on your room and how you lounge.

• L‑shape: Ideal for corners and medium spaces. It streamlines traffic flow and offers a chaise for stretching out.
• U‑shape: Best for larger rooms and conversation zones, giving wraparound seating for movie nights or guests.
• Modular flexibility: Many modular sectional sofas let you add or remove armless seats, switch a reversible chaise, or reposition movable ottomans.
• Viewing and flow: Align the open side toward your TV or focal point and keep pathways clear.
• Seat depth: Deep‑seat cloud couch styles suit lounging; shallower modules fit tighter layouts.

Comparing piece dimensions on each product page can help you decide which configuration suits your space.

You’ll find modular sectionals with smart extras—just scan the details closely.

• Storage: Look for phrases like “storage ottoman,” “hidden armrest storage,” or “central console” for remotes and blankets.
• Sleep space: Some include a pull‑out bed or a convertible chaise that creates a larger sleeping surface.
• Convenience: Select models add cup holders or USB ports for charging.
• Dimensions: Review the sleep surface size and ottoman capacity in the specifications.
• Compatibility: If you plan to add modules later, check that storage pieces or sleepers are part of the same collection.

Feature availability varies by model, so the product description and photos are your best guide.

Caring for textured fabrics is mostly about gentle, regular upkeep.

• Vacuum weekly: Use an upholstery attachment in the direction of the nap to lift dust and crumbs.
• Handle spills fast: Blot—don’t rub—with a clean, dry cloth to absorb moisture.
• Spot test first: If the product page or care tag allows, use a mild, water‑based cleaner on a hidden area before treating visible spots.
• Pet hair: A lint roller or soft brush can help lift hair from chenille and corduroy textures.
• Rotate cushions: Flipping or rotating (when possible) helps distribute wear.
• Sunlight: Prolonged direct sun may fade fabrics; consider placement or window coverings.

Always follow the specific care guidance provided with your sofa.

Assembly varies by model, but it’s often straightforward with a little prep.

• Check the listing: Some arrive “no assembly required,” while others are “sofa in a box” or compressed and need setup.
• Common steps: Align modules, secure built‑in connectors or brackets, and attach feet if included.
• Unbox smart: Open cartons in the room of use, protect floors, and organize hardware.
• Let cushions relax: Compressed pieces may need time to fully expand before finalizing placement.
• Team up: Two people can make lifting and alignment safer and easier.
• Keep packaging: Holding onto boxes briefly can help with returns or swaps if needed.

Review the product’s assembly notes and instructions for model‑specific steps.
