Using a facial microblade safely starts with clean skin and hands.

• Hold the tool at a 45-degree angle and gently glide it over your skin in short, light strokes.
• Avoid pressing too hard to reduce the risk of irritation.
• Always move in the direction of hair growth and steer clear of sensitive areas like around the eyes.
• After use, rinse your face and apply a gentle moisturizer.

If you’re new to dermaplaning, consider starting with a small area to see how your skin reacts. If you have skin concerns, it’s a good idea to check with a dermatologist first.

Dermaplaning razors and microblades are both used for facial hair removal, but they serve slightly different purposes.

• Dermaplaning razors are designed to remove fine facial hair and exfoliate dead skin, leaving your skin smoother.
• Microblades, often used for eyebrow shaping or precision hair removal, have finer blades for targeted grooming.

Choosing between them depends on whether you want overall facial exfoliation or precise shaping. Always follow the instructions for each tool to get the best results.

Most facial microblades and razors are intended for multiple uses, but it’s important to check the packaging for specific guidance.

• After each use, clean the blade carefully with rubbing alcohol or soap and water.
• Store it in a dry place to prevent rust or dullness.

Replace the blade or tool when you notice it’s not gliding smoothly or if it shows signs of wear. Using a dull blade can increase the risk of irritation, so keeping your tools fresh is key for safe grooming.

Cleaning your facial microblade is simple and helps maintain hygiene.

1. Rinse the blade under warm water to remove any hair or skin debris.
2. Use a gentle soap or rubbing alcohol to disinfect the blade.
3. Dry it thoroughly with a clean towel or let it air dry.

Avoid soaking the blade for long periods, as this can cause rust. Proper cleaning can help extend the life of your tool and keep your skin healthy.

Many facial razors offer replacement blades or refill packs, which can be found in the grooming section at Walmart.

• Check the product packaging or description to see if replacement blades are compatible with your tool.
• Swapping out old blades for new ones helps maintain performance and safety.

If you’re unsure about which replacement to choose, store associates can help you find the right fit for your facial razor or microblade tool.
