Lighting wooden matches is simple, but safety comes first. Hold the match at the end opposite the tip and strike it firmly against the provided striker surface. Keep your fingers away from the striking tip and make sure to strike away from your body. Always light matches in a well-ventilated area and keep them away from flammable materials. After use, ensure the match is fully extinguished by dipping it in water or pressing it against a non-flammable surface before discarding. Store matches out of reach of children and pets for added safety.
