Resetting the combination on most lock boxes is pretty straightforward, but the exact steps can vary by model. Generally, you'll need to open the box using your current code, then look for a reset lever or button inside.

• Move the reset lever to the 'set' position or press and hold the reset button.
• Enter your new combination, making sure to remember it.
• Return the lever to its original position or release the button.

Combination lock boxes are versatile and can help keep a variety of items secure. Common uses include:

• Storing spare house or car keys for family or trusted visitors
• Keeping small valuables like jewelry, cash, or important documents safe
• Securing medications or other personal items

Many combination lock boxes are designed for outdoor use and offer some level of weather resistance. Features like rubber seals, rust-resistant materials, and protective covers can help protect the contents from rain and dust. However, it's a good idea to check the product details for specific weatherproof ratings. For extra protection, consider installing the box in a sheltered spot, like under an awning or porch.

Installing a wall-mounted lock box usually involves a few simple steps:

1. Choose a solid, discreet location like a wall near your entryway.
2. Mark the screw holes using the box as a template.
3. Drill pilot holes and use the included screws to secure the box to the wall.
4. Double-check that the box is firmly attached before use.

If you forget your combination code, first check if you wrote it down or stored it somewhere safe. Most lock boxes can't be opened without the correct code for security reasons. Some models may have a reset option if you registered the product or can provide proof of purchase. If you're unable to recover the code, you may need to contact the manufacturer for guidance or consider professional assistance to avoid damaging the box.
