Choosing the right lighted level depends on the type of projects you have in mind. Here are a few tips:

• Project Size: For small tasks like hanging shelves, a compact torpedo level works well. For larger projects, consider a longer box or digital level.
• Lighting Conditions: If you often work in dim spaces, look for models with illuminated bubble vials or LED displays for better visibility.
• Mounting Needs: Some laser levels come with wall mounts or tripods, making them handy for hands-free use.
• Magnetic Features: Magnetic levels are great for working with metal surfaces.

Think about your typical tasks to find a level that fits your needs best.

Laser levels and bubble lighted levels both help you find straight lines, but they work differently:

• Laser Levels: Project a visible line or cross onto surfaces, making them ideal for aligning pictures, tiles, or cabinets across a room.
• Bubble Lighted Levels: Use illuminated vials to show when a surface is level or plumb. They're great for close-up tasks and don’t require batteries for the basic function, though lighting features may.

Laser levels offer more range and hands-free alignment, while bubble levels are simple and reliable for quick checks.

Many lighted levels can be used outdoors, but there are a few things to keep in mind:

• Visibility: Bright sunlight can make it harder to see illuminated vials or laser lines. Look for models with high-visibility features or stronger beams.
• Durability: Check if the level is rated for outdoor use, such as having water resistance or shock-proof construction.
• Battery Life: If your level uses batteries for lighting or lasers, bring extras for longer projects.

Always follow the manufacturer’s guidelines to get the best results outside.

To keep your lighted level in top shape, try these tips:

• Clean Regularly: Wipe the body and vials with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals that could damage the finish or electronics.
• Check Batteries: Replace or recharge batteries as needed, especially before big projects.
• Store Safely: Keep your level in a protective case or toolbox to prevent drops and scratches.
• Avoid Moisture: Unless your level is water-resistant, keep it dry to protect the electronics and lighting features.

Regular care can help your tool last longer and stay accurate.

Many lighted levels offer replacement parts or accessories, such as batteries, wall mounts, or carrying cases. Availability can vary by model, so it’s a good idea to:

• Check the product packaging or manual for compatible accessories.
• Visit Walmart’s website or your local store to find batteries, mounts, or cases that fit your tool.
• Contact customer service if you need help locating specific parts.

Having the right accessories can make your projects easier and help you get the most out of your lighted level.
