When using wasp spray outdoors, it's important to follow the instructions on the product label.

• Wear protective clothing, such as long sleeves and gloves, to minimize skin exposure.
• Stand a safe distance from the nest, usually 15-20 feet, and aim the spray directly at the nest entrance.
• Apply the spray in the early morning or late evening when wasps are less active.
• Keep children and pets away from the area during and after application.

Always wash your hands after use and store the spray in a cool, dry place.

Foaming wasp killers and dust wasp killers work in different ways.

• Foaming sprays create a thick foam that covers the nest and kills wasps on contact. They're ideal for nests above ground, like those found on eaves or trees.
• Dust insecticides are designed for ground nests. The dust settles into the nest and continues to work over time, targeting wasps as they move in and out.

Choose the product based on the nest location and follow all safety instructions for best results.

Wasp traps are a good option if you prefer a non-spray approach.

• Traps attract wasps with bait and capture them, helping reduce their numbers in your yard.
• They're best for ongoing prevention rather than immediate nest removal.
• Place traps away from areas where people gather to avoid attracting wasps closer to your home.

For active nests, sprays or dusts may be more effective, but traps can help manage wasp activity throughout the season.

Choosing the right wasp control product depends on your situation.

• If you have a visible nest above ground, a foaming or jet spray can help target it directly.
• For ground nests, a dust insecticide is usually more effective.
• If you're looking to prevent wasps, consider traps with bait.

Always read the product label to ensure it's suitable for your needs and follow all safety guidelines. If you're unsure, store associates can help you find the right option.

After removing a wasp nest, take steps to prevent future infestations.

• Dispose of the nest carefully, using gloves and a sealed bag.
• Clean the area with soap and water to remove lingering scents.
• Seal any cracks or openings around your home to block entry points.
• Consider placing traps to catch any returning wasps.

Regularly inspect your property for new nests, especially during warmer months, to stay ahead of wasp activity.
