Inflating pool floats is simple and can be done using a manual or electric air pump. Most floats have one or more air valves—just open the valve, attach the pump nozzle, and fill until the float feels firm but not overinflated. Tip: Avoid using high-pressure air sources, as they can damage the float. Always check the manufacturer's instructions for specific guidance. After inflating, make sure the valve is securely closed to prevent air leaks while you enjoy your time in the water.

Many pool floats are designed for both adults and children, but it's important to check the age recommendations on each product. Some floats are suitable for kids as young as 9 years old, while others are intended for adults only.

• Always supervise children when they're using pool floats.
• Ensure the float is used in shallow water and away from pool edges.
• Never rely on floats as a substitute for life-saving devices.

Many inflatable floats are versatile and can be used in pools, lakes, or rivers. However, always review the product details to confirm suitability for open water. Considerations:

• Choose floats with sturdy handles or reinforced materials for river or lake use.
• Be mindful of currents, wind, and water depth.
• Always wear a life jacket in open water environments.

Proper storage helps extend the life of your pool float.

1. Rinse the float with fresh water to remove chlorine or salt.
2. Allow it to air dry completely to prevent mold or mildew.
3. Deflate the float fully and fold it loosely to avoid creases.
4. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and sharp objects.

If you notice a small leak, many floats come with a repair patch kit.

• First, locate the hole by submerging the float and looking for bubbles.
• Dry the area thoroughly.
• Cut a patch slightly larger than the hole and apply it according to the kit instructions.
• Press firmly and let it set before reinflating.
