Induction steamers are designed to work with induction cooktops, but it's important to check that the steamer's base is made from magnetic materials like stainless steel or cast iron. Most induction-compatible steamers will mention this in their product details. If you're unsure, you can test with a magnet—if it sticks to the bottom, it should work. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions for your specific cooktop and cookware to get the best results and avoid any potential issues.

• Fill the base pot: Add water to the bottom section, making sure it doesn't touch the steamer basket.
• Assemble the steamer: Place your food in the basket and cover with the lid.
• Set the heat: Turn on your induction cooktop to medium or medium-high. Induction heats up quickly, so keep an eye on the water level.
• Monitor cooking: Steam until your food reaches the desired tenderness, adding water if needed.

Always use cookware labeled as induction compatible for safety and efficiency.

Induction cooktops require cookware with a magnetic base. Avoid using glass, aluminum (unless labeled induction-ready), copper, or ceramic pots, as these materials typically won't work unless they have a magnetic layer. Using non-compatible cookware can result in uneven heating or the cooktop not recognizing the pot at all. For best results, stick to stainless steel or cast iron steamers specifically marked as induction compatible.

Pyrex dishes are made from glass and are not induction compatible, so you can't place them directly on an induction cooktop. However, you can use a Pyrex dish inside a compatible steamer pot as a container for certain foods, as long as the main pot is induction-ready. Always check the manufacturer's guidelines for both your cookware and your induction cooktop to ensure safe use.

• Let it cool: Wait until the steamer is cool before handling.
• Disassemble: Separate all tiers and remove the lid.
• Wash: Use warm soapy water and a soft sponge to clean each part. Most stainless steel induction steamers are dishwasher safe, but check the product details to be sure.
• Dry thoroughly: Dry all parts before storing to prevent water spots or rust.

Regular cleaning helps maintain your steamer's performance and keeps it looking great for every meal.
