When shopping for a refurbished desktop, consider these points:

• Specs: Check the processor, RAM, and storage to make sure they meet your needs for work, school, or everyday use.
• Included Accessories: Many refurbished desktops come with a monitor, keyboard, and mouse, which can be convenient if you need a full setup.
• Operating System: Look for a system with a pre-installed operating system, like Windows 10, for easier setup.
• Condition: Read the product description for details on cosmetic condition and any included warranties or return policies.

These factors can help you find a desktop that fits your needs and budget.

Setting up a used PC is straightforward. Here’s a quick guide:

1. Unpack all components (desktop, monitor, keyboard, mouse, and cables).
2. Connect the monitor to the desktop using the provided cable.
3. Plug in the keyboard and mouse to the USB ports.
4. Connect the power cables for both the desktop and monitor, then turn them on.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the initial Windows setup, including connecting to Wi-Fi and creating a user account.

If you run into any issues, check the included manual or visit the support section on Walmart’s website for troubleshooting tips.

Many desktop PCs allow for upgrades, but it depends on the specific model. Here’s what to keep in mind:

• RAM: Most desktops have extra slots for additional memory, but check the maximum supported capacity.
• Storage: You can often add or replace hard drives or SSDs, but you’ll need to confirm the type and size supported by your PC.
• Tools: Upgrading usually requires basic tools and some technical know-how. If you’re unsure, consider seeking help from a professional.

Always review the product manual or manufacturer’s website for compatibility before making upgrades.

Many refurbished and pre-owned desktops listed include Wi-Fi capability, either built-in or via a USB adapter. Here’s how to check:

• Product Description: Look for mentions of Wi-Fi or wireless connectivity in the item details.
• Included Accessories: Some models come with a Wi-Fi dongle if it’s not built into the system.

If Wi-Fi is important for your setup, double-check the listing or reach out to Walmart’s customer service for confirmation before purchasing.

The main difference lies in how the computers are prepared for resale:

• Refurbished: These PCs are typically tested, cleaned, and restored to a functional state by professionals. They may include updated software and a warranty.
• Pre-Owned (Used): These are sold as-is, often with basic testing but less extensive refurbishment. They may show more signs of previous use.

Both options can offer value, but refurbished units may provide extra peace of mind due to additional checks and possible warranty coverage.
