Setting up your HP scanner is pretty straightforward. Start by connecting the scanner to your computer using the included USB cable or via Wi-Fi if it's wireless. Then, install the HP scanning software, which is usually available on the manufacturer's website or included in the box. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation. Once installed, open the software and run a test scan to make sure everything works. Tip: If you're using an all-in-one printer, the scanning function is often accessible from the printer's touchscreen or your computer.

Most HP scanners and all-in-one printers available at Walmart can scan both photos and documents.

• For photos, use the flatbed scanner or dedicated photo scanning features to preserve image quality.
• For documents, sheet-fed or auto-feed options make multi-page scanning easy.

Sheet-fed scanners pull pages through automatically, making them great for quickly scanning stacks of documents. Flatbed scanners require you to place each item on a glass surface, which is ideal for fragile items, photos, or books.

• Sheet-fed: Fast, efficient for multi-page jobs.
• Flatbed: Versatile, handles odd-shaped or delicate items.

To scan double-sided pages, look for HP scanners or all-in-one printers with duplex scanning features. These models automatically scan both sides of a page in one pass.

• If your device doesn’t have duplex scanning, you can manually flip the pages and scan each side separately.

Most HP scanners and all-in-one printers sold at Walmart support both Mac and Windows operating systems.

• HP provides downloadable drivers and scanning software for each platform.
• Wireless models often work with mobile devices, too.
