Trackball mice offer unique advantages, but there are some potential disadvantages to consider:

• Learning curve: It can take time to get used to the finger or thumb movement required.
• Precision: Some users find trackballs less accurate for tasks like gaming or graphic design.
• Cleaning: Trackballs may need regular cleaning to prevent buildup and maintain smooth operation.

Depending on your needs, a trackball mouse can be a great fit, but it's important to weigh these factors before purchasing.

To clean your handheld mouse safely:

1. Unplug or turn off the mouse.
2. Use a soft, slightly damp cloth to wipe the exterior.
3. Avoid getting moisture inside openings or buttons.
4. For trackball mice, remove the ball and clean it separately.
5. Let all parts dry completely before reconnecting.

Regular cleaning helps maintain performance and hygiene. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions for best results.
