Freezer cubes are handy kitchen tools designed to help you portion and freeze liquids or foods for later use. They're great for meal prep, storing soups, broths, sauces, or even leftovers. Many freezer cubes are made from flexible silicone, making it easy to pop out individual portions as needed. This can help reduce food waste and make weeknight dinners a breeze. Some trays come with lids to prevent spills and keep your freezer organized. Whether you're prepping baby food or saving extra stew, freezer cubes offer a simple way to store and reheat just what you need.

Choosing the right freezer cube size depends on what you plan to store.

• For soups, stews, or meal prep, larger cubes (like 1-cup or 2-cup molds) are ideal for storing single servings.
• For drinks or small portions, smaller trays work well for ice, herbs, or baby food.

Absolutely! Freezer cubes are versatile and can be used for much more than just making ice.

• They're perfect for freezing homemade broths, sauces, or purees.
• You can portion out smoothie ingredients, coffee, or even chopped herbs in oil for easy meal prep.
• Some people use them to store baby food or leftover wine for cooking.

Cleaning silicone freezer trays is usually straightforward.

1. First, rinse the tray with warm water to remove any food residue.
2. Wash with mild dish soap and a soft sponge, making sure to get into all the corners.
3. For stubborn odors or stains, soak the tray in a mixture of baking soda and water for a few hours before rinsing.
4. Most silicone trays are dishwasher safe, so you can place them on the top rack for a thorough clean.

Many silicone freezer cubes are designed to handle both hot and cold temperatures, but it's important to check the product details before pouring in hot liquids.

• Some trays are oven-safe and can handle hot soups or sauces, while others are meant only for freezing.
• Letting liquids cool slightly before pouring can help prevent warping or spills.
