Choosing the right size frame depends on your artwork or photo dimensions and how you want it displayed. Here’s a quick guide:

• Measure your art: Start by measuring the width and height of your picture or poster.
• Consider matting: If you want a mat, pick a frame larger than your art to accommodate it. For example, an 8x10 photo with a mat might need an 11x14 frame.
• Check product details: Frame listings usually specify the size they fit, with or without a mat. Double-check before purchasing to ensure a perfect fit for your wall or gallery display.

Most large picture frames are designed with versatility in mind. Many include hanging hardware that lets you mount them either vertically (portrait) or horizontally (landscape). Before hanging, check the back of your frame for pre-installed hooks or wire. If you want to switch orientation, make sure the hardware is secure and properly positioned. This flexibility makes it easy to display your art or photos just the way you like on your wall.

To keep your large frame looking its best, follow these steps:

• Dust regularly: Use a soft, dry cloth or microfiber duster to gently remove dust from the frame and glass.
• Spot clean glass: For smudges, lightly spray glass cleaner onto a cloth (not directly on the glass) and wipe gently.
• Avoid harsh chemicals: Stick to mild cleaners and avoid abrasive pads to prevent scratches or damage to the frame’s finish.

Regular care helps maintain the frame’s appearance and keeps your artwork looking sharp.

Large frames are a great choice for creating a gallery wall. Their size helps anchor your arrangement and draws attention to featured pieces. You can mix and match different frame sizes and finishes for a dynamic look, or use matching frames for a more uniform style. Before hanging, lay out your frames on the floor to experiment with spacing and arrangement. This approach helps you visualize the final look and makes installation easier.

Most large frames are designed for easy artwork changes. They typically feature tabs or flexible points on the back that you can bend or slide open. Simply remove the backing, switch out your photo or poster, and reassemble. Always handle the glass or acrylic front with care to avoid fingerprints or damage. This makes it simple to refresh your wall art whenever you want a new look.
