Choosing the right fire pit size depends on your outdoor space and how you plan to use it. Here are a few tips:

• Measure your patio or backyard area to ensure the fire pit fits comfortably with room for seating and movement.
• Consider your group size—smaller fire pits work well for intimate gatherings, while larger ones are great for hosting more people.
• Think about portability if you want to move the fire pit around; smaller, wheeled models are easier to relocate.

Review product dimensions and features to find a fire pit that matches your needs and space.

Many outdoor fire pits on this page come with adjustable grills or grates, making them suitable for cooking. You can grill items like hot dogs, burgers, or marshmallows. Always check the product details to see if a grill is included or removable. For safe cooking:

• Use only food-safe accessories and utensils.
• Keep the fire at a manageable level.
• Clean the grill before and after use.

Cooking over a wood-burning fire pit can add a smoky flavor, but be sure to follow all safety guidelines and supervise the fire at all times.

Keeping your fire pit clean helps it last longer and work better. Here’s how you can do it:

1. Wait until the fire pit is completely cool.
2. Remove ashes and debris using a small shovel or scoop.
3. Wipe down the inside and outside with a damp cloth; for stubborn spots, use mild soap and water.
4. Dry thoroughly to prevent rust.

Some models come with a protective cover—using it when the fire pit isn’t in use can help keep it clean and protected from the elements.

Using a fire pit on a wood deck requires extra caution. Most fire pits are designed for use on non-flammable surfaces like stone, concrete, or gravel. If you want to use one on a wood deck:

• Place a heat-resistant barrier or fire pit pad underneath.
• Keep the fire pit away from railings, walls, and overhangs.
• Never leave the fire unattended and have a fire extinguisher nearby.

Always check the manufacturer’s guidelines and local regulations before setting up a fire pit on a deck.

Many outdoor fire pits are built to handle the elements, but leaving them outside all year can lead to wear and rust. To help extend the life of your fire pit:

• Use a weather-resistant cover when not in use.
• Store removable parts like grills and lids indoors during harsh weather.
• Clean and dry the fire pit before covering or storing it.

Taking these steps can help keep your fire pit looking good and working well season after season.
