Choosing a feeding set depends on your child's age, eating habits, and your preferences. Look for sets with features like suction bases to help prevent spills, divided plates for portion control, and easy-to-grip utensils. Consider materials—silicone and plastic are lightweight and durable, while glass storage jars are great for prepping and storing food. If your child is starting to self-feed, sets with adjustable bibs and self-feeding spoons can make mealtime easier. Always check product descriptions for age recommendations and safety features before making your decision.

• Most feeding sets are dishwasher safe, but always check the packaging or product details first.
• For silicone and plastic items, use warm soapy water and a soft sponge to avoid scratches.
• Glass jars can usually be washed in the dishwasher, but hand washing lids helps preserve their seal.
• Let all parts air dry completely before storing to prevent moisture buildup.
• If your set has suction bases, make sure to clean underneath to keep them working well.

Many feeding sets are designed with baby-led weaning in mind. Look for sets that include divided plates, suction bowls, and self-feeding spoons. Silicone sets are especially popular because they're soft, easy to grip, and safe for little hands. Divided plates help you offer a variety of foods, and suction bases keep dishes in place as your child explores eating independently. Always supervise your child during meals and consult your pediatrician for guidance on introducing new foods.

Some feeding sets are microwave safe, but it's important to check the product details before use. Silicone and certain plastics can usually be microwaved, while glass jars may be suitable for reheating food. Avoid microwaving lids unless they're specifically labeled as safe. Always remove any metal parts and follow the manufacturer's instructions to prevent damage or safety issues. If you're unsure, warming food in a separate container is a good option.

• Some feeding sets include storage jars or containers for prepping and storing baby food.
• Glass jars with lids are great for keeping homemade purees fresh.
• Sets with freezer trays let you portion and freeze food for later use.
• Check product descriptions to see if storage accessories are included or sold separately.
• Having storage options can make meal planning and on-the-go feeding much easier.
