Fancy Toothpicks(68)

You’ll see them listed by a few names, depending on style and use:

• Cocktail picks / garnish picks: Short skewers for olives, citrus twists, and drink toppers.
• Appetizer picks / party picks: For small bites on charcuterie boards, sliders, or desserts.
• Frill picks: Picks with a colorful, crinkled cellophane end (often used in deli sandwiches).
• Decorative picks: Themed toppers like pearls, hearts, stars, or seasonal shapes.
• Mini forks: Small two-prong appetizer forks for fruit and cheese.

Materials vary—commonly bamboo or plastic, plus reusable metal mini forks. Filter by length, color, and theme on Walmart.com to match your party look and food weight.

A “frilly” toothpick—often called a frill pick—is a short pick with a colorful, crinkled end that adds a pop of color to snacks and sandwiches.

• Typical use: Club sandwiches, deli trays, and party platters.
• Look: A small cellophane-like flourish at the top for decoration and grip.
• Material: Commonly plastic or bamboo with the frill attached.
• Best for: Light to medium items; for heavier stacks, consider thicker bamboo or longer picks.

They’re disposable and mainly decorative, so choose a length that fits your food (around 3.5–4.7 inches is common) and a color that matches your theme.

Focus on the food you’re serving and the look you want:

• Material: Bamboo is sturdy and common; plastic offers bold colors and shapes; mini metal forks are reusable and great for fruit/cheese.
• Length & thickness: Shorter for olives and sliders; longer or thicker for stacked bites.
• Tip & finish: Smooth finish and a clean tip help reduce splinters and snagging.
• Topper security: If there’s a pearl or charm, check that it’s firmly attached.
• Food contact: Look for products labeled food-safe in the description.

Use filters for color/theme on Walmart.com and scan customer reviews to see how a pick holds up with similar foods.

Some hosts lightly infuse plain wooden picks to add a subtle aroma to cocktail garnishes. It’s a style choice, not a must-have.

• Purpose: Adds a hint of scent that complements certain drinks.
• Material: If experimenting, start with plain wooden or bamboo picks labeled for food contact.
• Safety notes: Allow picks to dry completely before use, keep them away from open flames or candles, and let guests know if a pick has alcohol exposure.
• Easy alternative: Skip infusing and choose decorative party picks—pearls, hearts, stars, or themed designs—to get a dressed-up look without extra steps.

Always follow product care details in the item description.

Match pick length and thickness to your food and glassware:

• About 3.5–4 inches: Great for olives, citrus twists, and small sliders.
• About 4.7–5+ inches: Helpful for taller garnishes, layered bites, and mini skewers on charcuterie boards.
• Thicker bamboo: Better for heavier items like stacked fruit or meat/cheese combos.
• Mini forks: Handy when you want guests to spear fruit, cheese, or desserts neatly.

As a quick check, consider the height of your glasses and the size of your appetizers. Product pages on Walmart.com typically list length in inches, so you can line it up with your menu.
